Today we are going to visit the Eastern Altar. Then we will travel north to Beit Shean, one of the ancient Decapolis cities. We will visit a Roman theater. This is the city where Saul and his son Jonathan were nailed to walls (1 Samuel 31:10). Then we will visit Gideon’s Spring, a water source where God sifted out the warriors in Gideon’s army. We will then proceed to Mount Arbel. We will hike around the mountain where we will have a great view of the Sea of Galilee. Afterwards, we will travel to the town of Nazareth via Cana, Jesus’ boyhood home. We will then continue to Yardenit, the baptismal site on the Jordan River.
