Today we are going to Tel Dan to visit the nature reserve which houses one of the three sources of the Jordan River.  Remnants of the Canaanite city of Laish are on display, including a ritual site dating back to the days of Jeroboam.  Then we will visit Caesarea Philippi, an ancient Roman city located on the southern west base of Mount Hermon.  We will then continue to Oz 77 to the Valley of the Tears.  Next we will stop at the Northern Altar.  We will end the day by driving to the Golan Heights, one of Israel’s most beautiful and controversial regions.
